About...

The Sephardic Religious School (SRS) is housed at the Stroum Jewish Community Center, offers instruction from Pre-K through Grade 8, and is open to all Jewish children regardless of synagogue affiliation. Though our program has a Sephardic orientation, it has been designed to be universal in appeal as is evidenced by the fact that over half of our students are Ashkenazic. We believe we are unique in the warm, nurturing environment we create for our students, which is made possible by our extraordinary teaching staff and our unusually low student teacher ratio of about 5:1. With this we are able to give each child individual attention which allows us to teach successfully to all levels of learning at every grade level. At Sephardic Religious School, our students look forward to coming to Sunday School. We make learning fun through the use of activities, celebrations, song, and other interactive activities. We also foster close friendships amongst our students and indeed between our students and their teachers. Our program is open to everyone and our tuition has been designed to be affordable, even in these economic times.
